Ceramides

Ceramides are lipids (fats) that occur naturally in skin. They hold skin together and form a protective layer to help prevent moisture loss and damage from environmental aggression. Ceramides also help to keep the skin supple. As we age, or when the skins surface layer is damaged, we lose these Ceramides which need to be replaced.
